Hi Sonja,

Thanks for the comment! Yes, there is snow all the way to the summit but it is firm and well trodden. The normal route is great and, though ‘easier’ is no push over. There are lots of metal stakes, though, to keep you and your team safe. Have a wonderful time, we really loved it there!

thank you so much for posting this. we are going to Austria in a couple of days and our main aim is to climb Grossglockner, so it was great to see up to date conditions. we will probably just do the normal route as im not sure we are good enough for the studlgrat yet, but it looks awesome. if you get chance to reply, I was just wondering if there is snow all the way on the normal route or is some of it rock now? Good luck with your Alpine coast to coast and hope you enjoyed Zugspitze. thanks again
